Dragon Interact Inc, a subsidiary of social media company DatChat, Inc., has acquired AI publishing startup RPM Interactive, Inc. for 3.5 million shares of Dragon Interact stock.
As part of this, Dragon Interact will change its corporate name to RPM Interactive, reflecting what the firm says is its new focus on AI-driven podcast and gaming technologies.
"The acquisition of RPM Interactive provides us with access to their unique AI technology, which we believe is poised to disrupt the trivia gaming, online entertainment and podcasting industries,” says Darin Myman, chief executive officer of DatChat, Inc.
The company seeks to “transform how niche audiences engage with content-whether through competitive live trivia or AI-generated podcasts,” Myman adds.
Michael Mathews will serve as chairman of the board for the newly named entity. Mathews has been CEO and a director of Aspen Group and served in those roles at Interclick until its acquisition by Yahoo.
DatChat, Inc. is a secure messaging, metaverse, and social media company that not only focuses on protecting privacy on personal devices, but also protects user information after it is shared with others.
