'Men's Health' Releases Documentary Film On Ailment That Affects Teen Boys

Men’s Health has released a documentary focusing on social media, supplements and body dysmorphia in teenage boys, a condition that causes teens to feel shame about their appearance.

The magazine’s first feature film, “Generation Flex” is now available for streaming on Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video and menshealth.com.

In addition, the magazine is offering an editorial service package designed to help parents recognize the signs of body dysmorphia in teens, and to help those young people build healthy fitness habits.

“We are grateful to the four teenage boys who opened up their lives and minds to us for Generation Flex,” said Richard Dorment, editor-in-chief of Men’s Health and executive producer of “Generation Flex.”

“Through their stories — along with insights from the country’s leading experts on pediatric eating disorders and hypergymnasia — we show how over-supplementation and social media have hijacked these kids’ physical development and self-esteem."
