If a picture is worth a thousand words, this video of Trump
Administration advisor Elon Musk giving a Nazi-style salute during the inauguration celebration is worth at least a thousand explanations.

Joe, that picture takes me back to Mel Brooks in 1967. Can't be ... it's winter and not spring.

@John Grono: Understood, it's just that my observation was a dangerously serious one, regardless of what the ADL, or Mel Brooks might have to say. Just thought Musk's gesture signals that we've gone from an era of dog whistles to full-blown sieg heiling. Normally, I'm all about the laughs. But these are not normal times.

Pace yourself, Joe. Between you and the rest of the MP staff losing its collective mind within 48 hours of Trump's inauguration, if you guys retain this pace, you'll stroke out before the midterms.

For what it's worth, I will always retain my pace when it comes to speaking up against fascism, hate speech or the gesture Musk made. It used to be considered anti-American by our nation's collective mind. Maybe not so much, anymore.

Source: BBC: "The Anti-Defamation League, an organisation founded to combat antisemitism, did not agree.
"It seems that Elon Musk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute," it posted on X."
As Nonna used to say, when you look for trouble, you will find it.
@Dan Ciccone: Who are you going to believe, the ADL's "awkward" statement in a tweet on X, or Joe Mandese's own lying eyes?
I know what I saw and asked what readers thought. Based on yours and @John Grono's responses so far, I must be the one who is seeing things.
Then again, this is not the first time the ADL has kowtowed to Elon Musk:

Joe, I think you missed my reference of irony of Mel Brooks famous Springtime song.
