How Trump Blamed His Own Policies For This Week's Deadly Air Crash

Less than two weeks into his second term as president, Donald Trump blamed the DEI hiring policies of the Federal Aviation Administration of previous administrations for the deadly aircraft accident over Washington, D.C. late Wednesday night.

Whether those polices actually contributed to the accident is unclear, but either way, Trump was effectively blaming himself: His first term was one of the past administrations overseeing the FAA's DEI hiring push.

My point isn’t about the politics behind Trump’s lies, it’s that it’s that he can’t gaslight us as long as historical media records still exist that disprove his lies. And as I wrote in my last post, the Wayback Machine is an awesome, indelible record.

Diversity and Inclusion are a part of almost every major company in the U.S. and the U.S. government for the past two decades. Your link presents a basic a boilerplate for any company in America to communicate non-discriminatory practices. And you should note it says "Diversity and Inclusion." It does not say Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

DEI was not initiated or heavily promoted until the Biden administration. And if you use your own "awesome, indelible record" of the Wayback Machine, you will see the same boilerplate screenshot you provided for the IRS, the CIA, and all government jobs. Using your awesome, indelible record, you will note that EQUITY was not on any of these sites until 2021 - post Trump.

This is not and endorsement of the practice one way or the other, but for a guy who seems so concerned about the truth and presenting the facts, you're leaving out the biggest fact of your whole attack. Equity was nowhere on the government websites until 2021.

@Dan Ciccone: Fact-checking you here. You are incorrect that the FAA's DEI employment promotion did not begin until the Biden administration. It began under the Obama administration and continued throughout the first Trump administration. That was the whole point of using Internet Archive: There is an indelible record showing exactly what the Trump adminstration's FAA DEI policy was. But you're entitled to believe whatever you want.
