Redbook, MSN To Launch Healthy Living Feature Online

  • by February 28, 2006
In yet another example of a print publication edging its way onto the Internet in order to extend its brand, Hearst's Redbook is teaming with MSN to launch an online version of one of the magazine's editorial features.

The feature, called "Real Life, Healthy Life," appears each month in the magazine; it follows the progress of three women trying to lose weight in order to lead a healthier life. The online version will now appear on a new Web site that can be accessed through the MSN Lifestyle portal.

The site mixes magazine content with originally produced online material along with an inspirational message from Redbook Editor in Chief, Stacy Morrison. It will also include blogs by the three participating women as well as public message boards.

"MSN is the ideal partner for us," said Morrison. "Beyond just reading about our 'Real-Life, Healthy Life' campaign in the pages of Redbook each month, I want people to be able to interact with the story and the overall concept online as part of a bigger community."
