Less than two years after being named the first Chief Media Officer of fast-growing independent Giant Spoon, Julie Berger has quietly departed.
"We had some shifts on the media side and Trevor's now leading the media department," an agency spokesperson confirmed, referring to Giant Spoon Co-Founder Trevor Guthrie.
Prior to co-founding the agency in 2013, Guthrie was director of OMD's Ignition Factory East.
Berger joined Giant Spoon as Chief Media Officer in August 2023 from Chief Investment Officer of GroupM's Essence Mediacom.
Prior to joining GroupM in 2022, Berger was head of media at Farmers Insurance and previously held senior media roles at Media Storm, IPG Mediabrands' Initiative, and Horizon Media.
While the Chief Media Officer role was newly created when Berger joined Giant Spoon, she effectively succeeded agency partner Laura Correnti, who previously served as managing director of media, but has moved to founder and CEO of Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment in late 2023.
