A survey from Stagwell’s Harris poll with Express Employment Professionals finds an alarming rise in bad behavior at the office—so
much so that employees are leaving as a result.

The survey found that 30% of employed U.S. job seekers believe employees at their company are more confrontational than they were three years
ago.
22% have seen a rise in “being mean” to others at work during the past year. That trend is more pronounced among males (34%) versus
females (23%).
Fifty percent of hiring managers report increased poor employee behavior, while 74% regularly witness toxic traits.
Sixty-two percent of job
seekers feel companies should have signage to “remind people to be nice to one another.” You know, like the reminders you got in the third grade.
It’s nice to know
most people believe that a modicum of civility should rule in the workplace. Sadly, people in powerful positions right now disagree. For example, take Elon Musk.
