Hearst’s Cosmopolitan is expanding its coverage area with Cosmo Sports, a series featuring all-day access with collegiate and professional athletes.
The debut edition features a Q&A with basketball star A’ja Wilson, a basketball star, three-time MVP recipient, bestselling author and entrepreneur, ready to launch her Nike A’One signature shoe, the first Black female athlete to do so since 1995.
Wilson discusses the challenges of overcoming imposter syndrome, leaning into her emotions and becoming comfortable with saying "I'm her.”

This is the start of a new franchise for Cosmopolitan.
“Sports are such an integral part of pop culture and as the authority in pop culture it feels like
a no brainer for us,” says Willa Bennett, editor in-chief Cosmopolitan.“With day-in-the life photo journalism, the series is really about documenting the real lives and
interests of these incredible athletes beyond the lens of just their training and performance”.
Bennett adds,
“We see Cosmo Sports as a bridge that connects our audience to their favorite athletes in a deeper, more meaningful way. Our audience has responded really well already. This only the
beginning!”
