The home of the square slider has partnered with Heelys, the maker of “wheeled shoes,” to launch a limited-edition collection of White Castle-branded kicks.
The “Slider Rider” high top shoes, now available while supplies last on Heelys website, look like normal basketball shoes with a marked difference: they have removable wheels in the heel. The “stealth skates” enable the wearer to “seamlessly transition from walking or running to skating by shifting their weight to the heel,” according to a release.
"These shoes are one-of-a-kind," said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, in a press release. "We're always seeking fresh and fun ways to satisfy cravings beyond the menu. Partnering with Heelys to design these exclusive shoes does just that."

The shoes are available in two different options, both featuring White Castle’s royal blue, orange and white logo colors and images of menu items.
The first version is a white shoe with royal blue trim and laces, with images of sliders, fries, soft drinks and other foods printed on the sides, with orange accents and trim. The second is the “Night Castle” version, with similar designs on a black background.
Both versions feature oversized tongues imprinted with a huge Cheese Slider design, and removable blue wheels. The shoes are available in youth sizes 13 through men’s 13, and sell for $75 on Heely’s website.
White Castle’s previous collaborations includes a partnership with fashion label Telfar to create new uniforms for team members. The brand has also partnered with Evil Genius Beer Company to create several limited edition brews such as the tangerine IPA “It Hits Different” and “Main Character Energy,” a hazy kiwi dragon fruit IPA.
