WPP Media this morning released a revised mid-year update to its annual ad spending forecast, reducing U.S. growth by nearly a percentage point to just 2.2%, including the effects of political advertising.
Excluding political ad spending comparison's, WPP estimates U.S. ad spending will expand 5.4% this year, down from 6.5% forecasted at the end of 2024.
With WPP's revision, the Big 3 holding company forecaster consensus for U.S. ad growth this year has fallen to 3.8%.
