In line with the recent launch of xAI’s controversial AI companions, Elon Musk’s AI company’s most recent iOS
Grok subscriber feature allows users to generate NSFW (not safe for work) image and video content in seconds, according to an X post from Musk on Sunday.
Using Grok Imagine, SuperGrok and
Premium+ X subscribers on xAI’s iOS app can now use text or image prompts to generate 15-second videos with a “spicy mode” trained for sexually explicit content.
Like Ani
– an “expressive,” “codependent” and “horny” anime xAI chatbot – “spicy” Grok Imagine videos include partial female nudity. And like
xAI’s crass, crime-positive red panda named “Bad Rudy,” these NSFW videos often feature “hateful, antisemitic, misogynistic content” as well, according to a report by
TechCrunch.

Grok’s video creation update comes days after xAI issued a statement claiming that the latest model of Grok has been evaluated and
updated following an incident in which the chatbot called itself “MechaHitler” in response to a user’s question.
“Instead of heeding our call to remove its
‘NSFW’ AI chatbot, xAI appears to be doubling down on furthering sexual exploitation by enabling AI videos to create nudity,” Haley McNamara, a senior vice president at National
Center on Sexual Exploitation, told Time.
Grok Imagine is also stoking public concern regarding potential deepfake creations, as the AI chatbot is able to seamlessly generate video
renderings of major celebrities from static images.
“There’s no confirmation it won’t create pornographic content that resembles a recognizable person,” McNamara
continued. “xAI should seek ways to prevent sexual abuse and exploitation.”
