Chipotle has a new rewards program for college kids, with an Urban Outfitters deal also tagged to that cohort.

Beginning today, the Chipotle U Rewards program is available “to recognize and celebrate students at various milestones of their higher education journey.” Registered students will be eligible for “surprise drops during finals, game days and graduation giveaways,” as well as earning 1,000 bonus points upon enrollment and 20% more points on every purchase towards free Chipotle meals.

The brand claims to be the “first major national restaurant brand to launch a loyalty program for college students.”

“Chipotle has long been a go-to destination for students' celebratory meals, and now members will be given special offers that tie to specific milestones throughout their college journey,” says Curt Garner, president, chief strategy and technology officer, Chipotle.

The first drop for Chipotle U Rewards members is a collaboration with Urban Outfitters. The limited-edition “A Little Extra” Dorm Collection, based on Chipotle menu items, launches Aug. 20 .

The new “A Little Extra” Urban Outfitters Collection include: a Chipotle Water Cup Tumbler for $16, a "Chipotle Is My Life" Catch-All for $19, a Chipotle Delivery Doormat for $29, a Chipotle Chip Bag Light for $59, "A Little Extra" Embroidered Pillow for $59, a Chipotle Burrito Throw Blanket for $99, and a Black Bean or Pinto Bean Bean Bag Chair, both available for $299.

All items are available beginning  Aug. 20 at Urbanoutfitters.com or in select brick-and-mortar Urban Outfitters’ locations in college towns while supplies last.

College students can log on to chipotle.com/chipotle-u-rewards to sign up. In addition to the sign up bonus 1,000 points, members will earn 12 points for every $1 spent at Chipotle.
