Qdoba's "Diptember" Gives Customers New Food Deals And Swag


Fast casual chain Qdoba has added yet another holiday to the fall QSR promo calendar with the launch of “Diptember,” a renaming of September that reflects the brand’s 12-day celebration of everything guacamole and queso.

Beginning today and running through Sept. 20, the Mexican chain created “Diptember” to coincide with both National Guacamole Day on Sept. 16 and National Queso Day on Sept. 20. Qdoba rewards members have a chance at winning one of over 700 prizes, as well as other exclusive offers and freebies. To enter, rewards members must purchase chips and dips during the 12-day promo.

"National Guacamole Day and National Queso Day are the holidays we live for at Qdoba," says Kim Zamir, vice president of marketing at QDOBA. "Diptember is our big, bold way of saying thank you to our Rewards Members."

The chain has created an entirely new line of merch for Diptember, which customers can win during the promo, including; 100 Qdoba Gold Cards, which give the winner free chips and dips for a year; 25 pairs of orange and green Qdoba Crocs, each accessorized with three custom Qdoba “Jibbitz” decorations; chip-shaped bag charms; a burrito sleeping bag;125 Diptember-themed holiday sweaters; one original queso oil painting by artist Noah Verrie;r and the grand prize, a Qdoba-branded whirlpool tub with jets.

On National Guacamole Day and National Queso Day, Rewards Members can get free chips and dips with the purchase of any entrée. The brand is promoting “Diptember” via its social media platforms onInstagram,Facebook, XandTikTok.

Separately, Qdoba also recently announced it will add 50 new stores to the chain in Alaska, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico, with initial focus on Salt Lake City and St. George, UT, as well as Albuquerque, NM.

The brand says it has 600 locations under development, with approximately 800 locations currently operating across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
