Chipotle has expanded beyond its Boorito promotion for
Halloween this year.
According to the Ferrero North America 2024 Adultoween Survey, a whopping 77% of adults “feel nostalgic” toward Halloween trick or treating, which was an
inspiration for the new “Chip-Or-Treat” Chipotle Rewards promo, according to the brand.
Throughout the month of October, rewards members who purchase one entrée per week
will receive a new weekly treat from the brand, in addition to an exclusive rewards badge. The entrée must be purchased on the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com or by scanning their rewards card when
dining in-restaurant.
Reward “treats” can include items such as free guac, chips or bonus Rewards points, and can be earned four times in the month of October.
The
brand is promoting Chip-or-Treat via its social media platforms.

"Boorito has been the can't-miss Halloween tradition for our fans, and this year we're expanding it into a full month of
treats," said Chris Brandt, president, chief brand officer for Chipotle in a release.
The Boorito promotion will return on Oct. 31, with a to-be-announced in-restaurant
entrée offer on Halloween itself. The brand said it will reveal the offer later this month during its 25-year anniversary celebration. Previous Boorito offers included deals such as $6 entrees
for rewards members who showed up to a Chipotle location in costume on Halloween.
Earlier this year Chipotle added a second rewards program just for college students. The Chipotle U Rewards is
a new loyalty program “that celebrates [students] at various milestones of their higher education journey.” New members receive 1,000 bonus points upon enrollment and earn 20% more points
than regular Chipotle Rewards members with every purchase.
