Time is making what it calls its
“largest leap yet” into artificial intelligence (AI).
The publisher has launched the Time AI Agent, an AI-powered platform that
Time describes as a “fundamentally new way to navigate news and storytelling.”
Available on Time.com, it allows readers to dynamically explore the news across
formats, languages, and perspectives, Time reports.
Developed with Scale AI, the Time AI Agent merges “language understanding, voice synthesis, translation, and
search into a single seamless interface,” Time says on its site. “Readers can ask questions, generate summaries, create audio stories, or translate reports, all within one
consistent experience.”
Time AI Agent doesn’t “replace editorial judgment, it amplifies it,” Time adds. Among its capabilities are
summarization translation, audio generation and intelligent search.

In addition, readers can "generate a five-minute audio summary of recent interviews with world leaders, highlighting key
themes and quotes, or stage a multilingual debate drawn from archival coverage around a question like ‘Is AI good for humanity?,'" Time states.
