YouTube and Facebook are the most widely used online platforms, according to a study by Pew Research. Among all social sites, Instagram comes closest to them.
The following percentages are of
adults who say they have ever used these platforms:

Several of these numbers represent changes. For instance, TikTok is up from 21% in 2021, and Instagram from 40% that year.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has
risen from 23% in 2021 and Reddit from 18%.

Gender plays a role — for instance, 55% of women use Instagram, compared to 44% of men. And usage varies by race and ethnicity — 45% of
white adults use Instagram, versus 62% of Hispanics, 58% of Asians and 54% of Black consumers.
As for education, 40% of people with a college degree at least use Reddit,
compared to 28% of those with some college and 15% with a high school diploma or less.
