Apparently, even the lawn needs a cold beer on a
hot day -- or at least the remnants of said beer.
Natural Light launches Lawn Brew, a custom mix of the beer grains left over after the brewing process that can be used as fertilizer.
The lager leftovers are “packed with nutrients and fiber,” and help “create a balanced soil base, improving structure and supporting stronger, healthier grass growth.”
Natural Light has a thing for lawn care and those beer drinkers who spend most of their time in the yard or garage. The brand has embraced various promotions targeting these weekend warriors,
including the indoor winter “Treadmower,” to keep the lawn
mowing going despite the weather and the “Garageflage” line of
camo-inspired activewear to help them blend into their garage to avoid holiday family gatherings.

“We’re focused on ideas that live at the intersection of our product
and our fans’ passions,” explained Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing, Busch Family & Natural Family, Anheuser-Busch, to Marketing Daily. “Lawn care is undoubtedly at the
heart of that, and when spring rolls around, our fans put maximum effort into making their lawn the best in the neighborhood. Natural Light Lawn Brew helps turn that effort into a reality.”
Social and video executions support the malty fertilizer promotion, such as seen here, which depicts the Lawn Brew against a man mowing a
verdant green lawn with a voiceover, “After a long day of photosynthesis and being walked on by the man, there’s only one thing a hardworking lawn wants; Natural Light."
Weekend gardeners can get a 64 oz bag of Lawn Brew for $14.99 with free shipping at ShopBeerGear.com while supplies last.
