Agency Inspired 'Man Therapy' To Be Published Ahead Of Father's Day

Over a decade ago Denver-based creative agency Cactus launched a pro bono campaign designed to reach men struggling with depression, isolation, and suicidal thoughts.

That campaign became ManTherapy.org, a humor-driven men’s mental health website and ad campaign created in partnership with the Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention.

Since its launch in 2010, the initiative has evolved into a nationally recognized resource used by public health organizations, nonprofits, and communities across the country.

Now, the movement is expanding into publishing. On June 15, just ahead of Father’s Day, Man Therapy (New Harbinger Publications) will be released nationwide.

According to a blurb for the book on Amazon (where you can pre-order) it offers strategies to:

  • Manage stress, anxiety, and burnout before they take over

  • Deal with depression, low motivation, and feeling stuck

  • Control anger and emotional reactions without blowing up relationships

  • Navigate loneliness, friendships, and romantic relationships

  • Build mental resilience when life knocks you down

“Think of it as a mental health tune-up for your brain: part therapist, part drill sergeant, and part wise uncle who tells it like it is,” the book’s Amazon page states.

The book features an introduction by Cactus CEO Joe Conrad, who helped conceive the original campaign and since then has helped shape the ManTherapy.org voice, creative strategy, and national outreach efforts.
