The News/Media Alliance has submitted an amicus brief to the Supreme Court, calling for a narrow definition of consumer under the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA). It says a consumer is
someone who subscribes to audiovisual materials and that definition has been accepted by the Sixth Circuit and the D.C. Circuit courts. A broader view would apply the VPPA to consumers who do not
