An RTD brand is continuing America’s 250
celebration with a patriotic-themed attempt at two new Guinness World Record titles.
Smirnoff Ice will hold a one day event on Aug. 1 in Put-In-Bay, Ohio, to earn two Guinness World Record
titles; one for the “Largest Display of Hot Dogs,” and another for the “Largest Hot Dog Party.” The city, which is known as the “Key West of the North,” with a
lively party scene, will host the event with Smirnoff Ice samples, complimentary hot dogs and branded giveaways. Information on how to attend can be found here.
The event is part of the brand’s new “Be A Part-y of History” campaign, promoting
Smirnoff Ice’s Red, White & Berry flavor.
“America's 250th is a rare cultural moment, and it's bigger than one day. We wanted Smirnoff Ice to show up in a way that felt true to
the brand: playful, a little unexpected and built for summer,” said Fergus McCarthy, director of Smirnoff Ice, in a release.

The campaign also include various social content, such as
seen here, featuring a live bald eagle carrying a hot dog in one talon and a Red, White & Berry bottle in the other.
To accompany the
effort, Smirnoff Ice has also dropped a limited-edition “Doggie Bag,” which is actually a hot dog-shaped crossbody specially designed to hold a Smirnoff Ice. The brand has released the bag
via its Instagram @smirnoffusa, where it enlisted the help of social media celeb @DudeWithSign, who held up a sign in the post reading “Bad day to be a hot dog.”
