Hardee's Partners With Caleb Pressley In Search Of 'Ultimate Meemaw'

Hardee’s has partnered with a popular ice-cream-eating YouTuber to promote its nationwide search for the “ultimate Meemaw.”

The burger chain’s latest promo, “Show Us Your Meemaws,” asks customers to nominate their grandmothers (or themselves) for a chance to become “The Hardee's Meemaw,” described as “a charming, no-nonsense, made from scratch biscuit-loving icon.”

The brand has teamed up with “Sundae Conversation” podcast host Caleb Pressley, best known for his awkward, deadpan celebrity interviews conducted while he chows down on ice cream. Pressley is featured in multiple social posts promoting the Meemaw search, including on TikTok and Instagram.

“We know many of our guests have fond memories of sharing meals with their grandparents at Hardee's. We want to celebrate that connection by finding a Meemaw who shares our passion for great food and family,” said Sarah Breymaier, vice president of brand marketing at Hardee's, in a release. “And Caleb was the perfect partner for this campaign. His authentic humor and charismatic storytelling bring the spirit we're looking to capture.”

To enter a Meemaw for consideration, entrants must create and upload a video submission tagging @Hardees to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X or Threads by Aug. 30. The submission must include a description of what makes the nominee “the perfect Hardee's Meemaw,” and will be judged on “sass, spirit, personality and charm -- whatever makes your Meemaw one-of-a-kind.”

The winner, selected by a panel of Hardee’s experts, will be announced on Sept. 4and receive a “retirement boost” of $65,000 and their own signature "Meemaw" meal, to be featured on the menu across all locations. The winner will also become the “official face of the Hardee's brand throughout the next year.”

In July Hardee’s franchisee Superior Star LLC, which operates 59 Hardee’s locations in 10 states, filed for Chapter 11, per USA Today. This marks the second Hardee’s franchisee to declare bankruptcy in the last year, as ARC Burger also filed in late 2025, closing 77 locations. Hardee's corporate has since reopened a few of the shuttered locations in Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri.
