Checkers and Rally’s reworks one of the biggest hit songs
of the 1980, sung by rapper Yung Gravy, for its new anniversary campaign.
The brand is commemorating its “40th Flava Versary” this year with a new creative effort and Flava Max
limited time menu items. The campaign centers on “Fryway to the Flava Zone,” a new anthem recorded for the brand by rapper Yung Gravy. The song is the brand’s take on “Danger
Zone,” the1986 song by Kenny Loggins written for the movie “Top Gun.”
The video for the track, seen here, is set in
an over-the-top “Flavaverse” full of neon, fingerless lace gloves, crimped hair and other 1980s references. As Gravy performs the song with a Poison-inspired hair metal band, a couple digs
into their seasoned fries against a background of “Miami Vice”-reminiscent imagery.

cheese, topped with seasoned fries and with a choice of three special sauces. The Flava Max Chicken Bites Box also comes with seasoned fries and a choice of three sauces. Both are available for $3.49
