Optimedia Opts For Drury, Names New Spot Chief

  • April 5, 2006
Publicis' Optimedia International unit has completed the restructuring of its TV buying department, naming Ellen Drury senior vice president-director of local TV and radio investments. Drury, who is based in New York, will oversee Optimedia's local broadcast buying operations in five regional U.S. offices. She succeeds Linda Pittman, who left Optimedia earlier this year, and most recently was a media consultant. Previously, she was with MediaVest, where she directed the local broadcast group for all Paramount Pictures spot activity.

The move completes a restructuring of the senior TV buying management of the agency, which in January named Larry Novenstern executive vice president-director of national electronic media. Novenstern, who had been senior vice president-director of national broadcast buying at Interpublic's Deutsch Inc. unit, replaced Bob Flood, who left to become senior vice president-integrated media platforms at MTV Networks' Music and Comedy Ad Sales Group.
