Univision Communications Monday said an estimated 50 million U.S. viewers tuned in to the 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament on its three television networks: Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision.
Univision said the Nielsen estimates included 29 million Hispanic and 21 million non-Hispanic viewers. The average audience during Univision's coverage of the tournament was more than 5 million
persons 2-plus.
