Roblox will begin rewarding creators for persuading players to partake in and return to the metaverse gaming platform.
According to the company, two new “Creator Rewards” programs, as well as new creator analytics tools, will begin rolling out on July 24, replacing previous creator payout systems.
The company's “Daily Engagement Reward” program is designed to provide Roblox creators with 5 Robux (or about 5 cents in USD) for every “active spender” -- a player who is spending at least 10 minutes in the creator-developed experience per day, and has spent at least $9.99 on Roblox in the past two months.
For example, if the creator of the massively popular game “Grow A Garden” -- which hosted 20.6 million concurrent players over the weekend, breaking a platform record -- took part in this new program, they could earn up to $1 million in just one day.

However, Roblox says, “this payout may change in the future.”
Regardless, creators will still be able to track estimated daily engagement rewards in real-time from the Creator Hub, with earned Robux automatically added to creators' total balance.
Creators will also be rewarded for bringing in new users. The “Audience Expansion Reward” program will overtake Roblox’s current Creator Affiliate program, giving creators a 35% revenue share on the first $100 in Robux purchases made by new or returning users during their first two months on the platform. These players also must participate in a creator's experience for at least 10 minutes in order to produce a payout.
Roblox says that Creator Rewards payouts are not capped and will continue to grow based solely on engaging players under the listed guidelines. In 2024, creators earned over $922 million through Roblox's “Developer Exchange” program, surpassing the $352 million Epic Games paid to Fortnite creators.
Creators also made $281.6 million in the first quarter of 2025, showing a 39% increase year-over-year.
According to the company, in 2025, creators are on track to earn over $1 billion for the first time in Roblox history.
