Tribune Broadcasting announced that L. Clark Morehouse III has been named executive vice president and general manager of the company's programming and distribution arm. Morehouse, who has served as
the unit's senior vice president/advertising sales for six years, will oversee sales and all other aspects of Tribune Entertainment's operations.
"Clark is a solid leader and well
connected in the advertising and television industries," says John Reardon, Tribune Broadcasting president. "His strong sales orientation and management skills will serve Tribune Entertainment well as
we work to accelerate revenue growth." Tribune operates 26 stations across the country.
In May, Dick Askin announced his departure as President-CEO of Tribune Entertainment.
In addition,
Tribune said Marc Schacher has been tapped as senior vice president/programming and development of Tribune Broadcasting. He will help program Tribune's group of local stations, via acquisitions in
syndication and other distribution channels.
Schacher, a 27-year Tribune veteran, had been vice president/programming. Recently, he led Tribune's efforts to acquire syndicated comedies "Two and
a Half Men" and "Family Guy" for its stations starting next year.
