Home Depot Creates Design Partnership With Arnell

The Home Depot yesterday said it is launching a new product design venture with Arnell Group, called Orange Works, focusing on what it calls "mega-trend" categories.

One of those is home safety. Home Hero, a proprietary brand which focuses on home safety, will include a sleek fire extinguisher, designed to remain visible in a room and within reach for quick use.

Other trend areas include aging in place, leading to a product line called Easy Reach Storage, cabinet shelving which eliminates the need to stoop or stretch, as well as a decorative chair rail that doubles as a handrail.
