Text 100 Signs Up Macrovision in U.S., U.K.

Text 100 Public Relations, an international PR firm, has signed up the Macrovision Corporation as one of its clients in the U.S. and Europe, the company announced Tuesday.

In this role, Text 100 will help build interest and awareness of Macrovision's core business, the distribution and protection of digital content produced by clients such as movie studios and gaming companies.

According to Greg Jorgensen, Macrovision's executive vice president and chief marketing officer, the agency is in a strong position to drive these new business models. "Text 100's expertise in the enterprise and consumer realm will be a major part of promoting our vision of digital distribution, as we continue to integrate new products and expand into emerging markets."

Macrovision will be working with two of Text 100's global "hub" teams in San Francisco and London. Some of Macrovision's new initiatives involve helping companies market, for example, their customized movie downloads or games integrating advertising.

The addition of this major brand is a coup for Text 100, which specializes in PR for consumer-technology businesses. Macrovision holds about 1,200 international patents and 240 U.S. patents.
