Tom Rogers Named Senior Advisor At American Media

  • January 27, 2004
Former Primedia chairman and chief executive officer Tom Rogers has joined American Media as a senior advisor. In his new role, Rogers will focus on potential television brand extensions for the company's titles as well as develop ideas for a health TV outlet.

"The public's insatiable appetite for entertainment and celebrity news presents many platforms for Star magazine to drive new viewers to a channel such as E!, VH-1 and others we seek relationships with," said American Media chairman and chief executive officer David Pecker in a press release. "The same holds true for our other titles. I cannot think of anyone better to help us do that than Tom Rogers, given his extensive background and expertise in both the print and television industries."

Prior to his Primedia tenure, Rogers was president of NBC Cable and executive vice president of NBC.
