Call For Papers

A bit of a potpourri this week:

It is hard to believe that we are only one week away from the next Email Insider Summit. For those companies and individuals who cannot be at the summit, you can still have a presence if you've written a white paper, case study, or best practices paper. The Email Experience Council will be hosting a White Paper Room at the summit and is accepting white papers on topics that extend the discussion on email marketing. If you or your firm have a paper you'd like to submit, send it ASAP to mailto:whitepapers@emailexperience.org in order for it to be considered for the White Paper Room.

On another note, it is always a mistake to publish a list, but you inevitably leave off folks who wish you hadn't. Last week I recommended a series of email-related blogs. I immediately heard from those I had inadvertently left off the list. For instance, how could I forget fellow Email Insider David Baker's wonderful blog, WhiteNoise (http://whitenoiseinc.com/). Also, Chris Baggot's informative Email Marketing Best Practices is highly recommended (http://exacttarget.typepad.com/chrisbaggott/).

Chris is the co-founder of Exact Target and has just released an excellent book on email marketing called Email Marketing by the Numbers. Designed as a "paint by the numbers" tutorial on all aspects of email marketing, the book includes not only Chris' valuable insights into email marketing, but some of the best case studies and white papers on the subject as well. Each chapter ends with articles and commentary from other marketers, pundits, and writers. You might even find an article by yours truly pulled from this column. Chris's book is published by John Wiley and Sons.

And if I have forgotten anyone else's blog, book, or podcast, please add them to the blog comments.
