NextEra & Affiliated.net Rolling Out Video Ad Networks

NextEra Media has rolled out its Pay-Per-Click video ad network after several months of beta-testing, and Affiliated.net said it was finishing up beta testing of its video affiliate marketing network and will launch it officially by the end of this month as well.

With some 127 video sites serving a reported 300 million video views monthly, Next Era's network gives advertisers the opportunity to leverage the power of online video in both a brand and cost-conscious fashion--because the PPC ads will appear in and around professionally produced, licensed clips.

Affiliated.net said its network will distribute targeted sponsored presentation video ads free-of-charge across the pages of thousands of publishers' Web sites. Some of the videos will incorporate a live salesperson, the company said, while others will be transparent video animations that layover the site in otherwise blank incremental (already blank) space "and are very unobtrusive."

According to NextEra CEO Jaffer Ali, "Our program addresses the two major concerns that clients have with online video advertising: the legality of the content used in their promotion, and the atmosphere that their message will be seen in. Our technology and fully legal content create a safe haven for marketers and advertisers alike."

NextEra, in addition to securing licensed content and providing a video player that can be embedded anywhere, also hosts special, branded landing pages--although advertisers have the option to link to their own Web site as well.
