Zane To Head Agency.Com's New York Office

Omnicom Group's Agency.com has appointed Riccardo Zane to head its New York office in the new position of president, with Agency.com founder and CEO Chan Suh calling him "an entrepreneur at heart."

Zane most recently served as senior partner, client services director at Ogilvy One Worldwide, where he ran its consumer marketing practice in the interactive and CRM space. Clients there included Kraft, Unilever, Nestle, Aflac, Miller Brewing Co., Deloitte, and Morgan Stanley. Previously, Zane led Leo Burnett's emerging digital practice, iLeo, both in the U.S. and Canada.

Over the last year, the leadership of Agency.com's New York office has been in transition. After six months as managing partner, Erik Valk Peterson departed in November. Then, CEO David Eastman, who had been serving as acting managing director, left in May, with Suh becoming CEO on an interim basis.

"The opportunity I see with Agency.com is to take my foundation in creating and leading integrated teams into a more consumer-centric and highly strategic digital agency," Zane said. "In keeping with Agency.com's heritage, my new role demands we take an already strong team to a different agency plane."
