Through a new interface on AdBrite, third-party Facebook developers can monetize applications by adding their inventory to the online marketplace. Advertisers, meanwhile, can use the platform to run campaigns on more than 100 popular apps on Facebook including iLike, TV Trivia, Pirates and Fight Club.
While Microsoft has the exclusive right to place ads on Facebook profile pages, the social networking site has allowed other companies to serve ads on third-party apps since launching Facebook Platform last May.
