Ford CMO Farley Gets More Duties

  • November 5, 2007
Jim Farley, Ford Motor Co.'s new CMO, will also lead U.S. marketing, sales and service for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles when he joins the automaker later this month, the company said on Friday. He is a former Toyota Motor Corp. Lexus exec.

Farley will assume the duties of Francisco Codina, who recently retired from his post as VP/North American marketing. Farley, who was named CMO in October, spent nearly 20 years at Toyota Motor Corp. before joining Ford.

In his U.S. marketing role, Farley will report to Mark Fields, Ford's executive vice president/president of the Americas. However, as the company's most senior marketing and communications leader, Farley will report to Ford CEO Alan Mulally.
