Post-Sweep, CBS Scores With Reruns

With the network hitting the first of its extended rerun periods this season, ratings could continue at lower levels if the writers' strike continues.

The first day after the November sweeps, CBS chugged to an easy but small victory. Its top show, "Survivor," was also the top TV show of the night with a 4.5 rating/12 share.

After that, CBS offered up modest 2.5/7 scores, each for reruns of "CSI" at 9 p.m. and "Without a Trace" at 10 p.m. All this gave the network a 3.5/9 average for the night.

NBC was a half a rating point back at 3.0/8. Its best came from "ER," which won the 10 p.m. time period at a 3.4/9 with an original episode. "Scrubs" at 9 p.m. was NBC's second best, at 3.1/7. NBC's early evening comedies, in repeats, offered up a 2.6/7 for "My Name Is Earl" and a 2.5/6 for "30 Rock."

Fox was next at 2.4/6 for "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" and "Don't Forget the Lyrics" at a 2.8/7. That gave Fox a 2.6/7.

ABC dipped from its usual top perch to fourth place, due to its reruns, landing at a 2.5/6. Predictable rerun numbers were handed out to "Grey's Anatomy," at a 3.1/8 at 9 p.m., and "Big Shots" at a 2.4/6 at 10 p.m. But it was ABC's 8 p.m. show, "Ugly Betty," that suffered more than most with a 1.9/5.

Univision was in fifth place at a 1.9/5. CW was next at a 0.9/2.
