Motorola has acquired digital download site Soundbuzz, allowing the device maker to expand its MotoMusic service beyond China to India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Singapore-based Soundbuzz offers more than 750,000 tracks from major labels including BMG, EMI and Warner Music International. The site has content and distribution partnerships with companies
including Hutchison 3, Airtel, Telstra, Windows Media Player 10, and Creative Technology.
Under the deal, Soundbuzz will continue to provide "white label" services to carrier partners offering
branded music offerings.
