General Motors To 'Drive' GOP Convention

  • January 10, 2008
General Motors may be headquartered in a bluish/reddish state, but the General is decisively red this year.

The automaker will be the official auto brand of the Republican National Convention, which will take place in September. GM will be the Official Vehicle Provider for the convention, to be held at St. Paul, Minn.'s Xcel Energy Center. The No. 1 automaker will provide a fleet of vehicles--300 cars and light trucks, including ethanol-capable and hybrid vehicles.
