Hill, 49, who succeeds O. Burtch Drake, will have her first major public role presiding over the AAAA's 2008 Media Conference and Trade Show March 5-7 in Orlando. Drake, who officially retires on March 31, has served as president-CEO of the AAAA since 1994, and presided over it during a period in which digital really did "change everything"--the theme of this year's media conference.
Although Hill doesn't have any explicit media services experience, she has ample full-service agency management credentials. At Lowe New York, she reorganized the shop with an "open source" model, and oversaw the launch of Lola (Lowe Latina) in the U.S. Previously, she was executive vice president-managing director at BBDO New York, and held management roles at Doner, Baltimore; Goldberg Moser O'Neill and Hill | Holliday, San Francisco and New York; and TBWAChiatDay, St. Louis and Los Angeles.
