Subaru Sponsoring Flower Shows

  • February 21, 2008
Subaru, a car brand more associated with bicycle racing and all-wheel drive cars, is sponsoring some flower shows this month and next.

The Cherry Hill, N.J. automaker is sponsoring the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle, the 2008 Philadelphia Flower Show and the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show.

The company, which says gardening is a top hobby of owners of its Subaru Forester car, says it will have the latest version of the car at the show in Washington. Subaru will also give away wildflower seeds, and an autographed copy of Inspired by Jamie Durie, host of the PBS show "Victory Gardens," to those who test-drive a Subaru. The company is also dangling $500 off the purchase or lease of a new Subaru vehicle.

At the Philadelphia show, the automaker will host "Subaru Gardner's Studio" and show the 2008 Subaru Tribeca.
