Market research firm TNS has created a new entity called TNS Media that will combine TNS Media Intelligence, TNS Media Research and new acquisitions Compete and Cymfony into a single business unit.
The new integrated unit will be led by Dean DeBiase, who was previously chairman and CEO of digital marketing and services company Fathom Online. TNS acquired Web measurement
service Compete earlier this month for $75 million.
Cymfony, a marketing analytics company which monitors social media and blogs, was bought last year for an undisclosed amount. The moves were
aimed at beefing up TNS' digital measurement capability.
