The clever campaign is intended to get people to recycle aluminum PepsiCola cans and includes packaging, with some 750 million Pepsi and Diet Pepsi cans carrying a message by the National Recycling
Coalition.
The company will say, on cans, that recycling could save 95% of the energy used to make one can; that aluminum cans produced in the United States contain 40-50% recycled
content; that the average person has the opportunity to recycle 25,000 cans in a lifetime; and that recycling a single aluminum can saves enough energy to power a TV for three hours or a 100-watt
light bulb for four hours.
