Outdoor Life Network announced that its coverage of the summit attempt of Mt. Everest has been delayed due to weather on the mountain. The broadcast was scheduled as part of its new original adventure
series, "Global Extremes: Mt. Everest -- 4Runners of Adventure." Updates will be sent to the media once available. Global Extremes host Craig Hummer and professional climbers Conrad Anker, who
discovered the body of George Mallory on Everest in 1999, and Peter Whittaker, whose uncle was the first American to climb Mt. Everest in 1963, will report from Base Camp on Mt. Everest at 17,060
feet. At 29,035 feet, a specially trained camera crew, will cover the Global Extremes team of three athletes as they embark on a historic summit attempt of Mt. Everest, the highest pinnacle in the
world. The broadcast, sponsored by the all-new 2003 Toyota 4Runner, will be co-hosted from OLN's studio in Norwalk, Conn. by professional sportscaster Kirsten Gum and Pete Athans, who has summitted
Everest more than any other Westerner. The broadcast will feature compelling in-studio guests including: Dr. Sherman Bull, who at age 64 was once the oldest American to climb Mt. Everest; and Dr.
Kenneth Kamler, who has accompanied four expeditions to Mt. Everest and has documented his medical experiences in his book, "Doctor On Everest." Viewers will also have the opportunity to call into the
studio to comment on the Global Extremes Summit attempt or to ask questions of experts and guests.
