Jango Brings Music Widgets To 'Seventeen'

  • May 7, 2008
Hearst magazines has partnered with social music site Jango to create co-branded music widgets for Seventeen.com.

Seventeen is now encouraging readers to create personal online "radio stations" -- dubbed Celebrity DJ Jukeboxes -- featuring songs from their favorite musicians. They can listen to the music directly at Seventeen.com and can share their stations with other readers.

Songs from artists like Rihanna, Ashlee Simpson and American Idol winner Jordan Sparks are all on offer.

This is just the latest effort by Hearst to engage young consumers online. The publishing house, for one, recently began allowing readers to send text messages to buy products advertised in its magazines.
