In-house search pros are frustrated ... but there's hope

Gord asked attendees to raise their hands if they were frustrated with the lack of support or insight at the CMO/CEO level when it comes to devising a search strategy that jives with creative (both on- and offline) and has organized goals and tactics.

About a quarter of the room raised hesitantly, then when Gord reminded them that they were "amongst friends," it shifted to about a third.

When asked about whether they were seeing a shift, though, and getting more support from the C-level (and others in their organization) almost half the room said yes.
