In a week nearer the beginning of the summer ratings snore than the end, CBS won a somewhat muted total-households race and NBC and Fox nearly tied for first place among adults 18-49.
CBS
had the top rating in total households (5.6/10, 6 million), and the six highest-rated shows, all repeats. NBC came in second (5.1/9, 5.4 million) followed by ABC (4.2/8, 4.5 million), Fox (4/7, 4.2
million), UPN (1.9, 3, 2 million), The WB (1.8/3, 1.8 million) and Pax (0.7/1, 710,000).
Among adults 18-49, NBC (2.9/9, 3.6 million) came in slightly ahead of Fox (2.8/9, 3.5 million).
ABC (2.2/7, 2.8 million) and CBS (2.2/7, 2.7 million) were virtually tied and following behind were UPN (1.1/4, 1.4 million), The WB (1.1/3, 1.3 million) and Pax (0.2/1, 290,000). Among adults 25-54,
NBC (3.2/9, 3.9 million) came out ahead but the distribution of the remaining networks was different: CBS (2.8/8, 3.3 million), Fox (2.7/8, 3.2 million), ABC (2.5/7, 3 million), UPN (1.2/3, 1.4
million) and The WB 1/3, 1.2 million).

The top 10 programs in primetime for the week ended Sunday, according to Nielsen Media Research:
