Bonwit Teller, the venerable New York women's clothing store that closed its doors back in 1990, may be making a comeback.
River West Brands, a sort of marketing morgue that specializes
in acquiring dormant brands, says it has formed a partnership with Andrei Najjar, who has worked for such companies as Abercrombie & Fitch, Target, and the Gap.
The partnership is on the
prowl for financing to relaunch the brand, which once claimed Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe as regulars, and which outfitted Grace Kelly in "To Catch a Thief."
