
Worldwide gaming league Championship
Gaming Series is launching its official YouTube channel. The channel will offer high-quality content from CGS' pro gaming broadcasts to YouTube's audience,
Online Media Daily learned Thursday.
Ad-supported content from CGS will be uploaded to a dedicated partner channel, the league plans to announce during the L.A. Games Conference on Friday.
"CGS programming
represents truly groundbreaking sports entertainment," said CGS Commissioner and CEO Andy Reif. "Now CGS fans old and new will be able to get more of it whenever they want."
The variety of
official video clips from CGS will include serialized footage from CGS regular-season and training camp matches, player tips and tricks, behind-the-scenes footage, and mini-features as well as
interviews with general managers and players.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, the Championship Gaming Series launched in 2007. The league claims to distribute content to more than 400 million
viewers worldwide via DirecTV in North America and Latin America, BSkyB in the UK, Eurosport in Europe, and STAR in Asia and Australia.
CGS sponsors include Mountain Dew, Dell XPS, Xbox 360
and Creative.
