Anheuser-Busch says it received an unsolicited proposal from InBev, Belgium's beer giant, to buy all of the outstanding A-B shares for $65 per share in cash.
Based in St. Louis, A-B is
America's biggest brewer, with a 48.5% share of U.S. beer sales, including Budweiser and Bud Light. It's also the third-largest in the world, according to The Wall Street Journal. InBev is
the second-largest, after global leader SABMiller, based in the U.K. A-B says its "board expects to make its determination regarding InBev's proposal in due course."
