Nokia on Wednesday announced the Nokia Advertising Alliance, an effort aimed at helping brands develop mobile campaigns employing coupons, location-based targeting, image-recognition and other
emerging technologies.
The program builds on the handset maker's existing media network, which allows marketers to plan and execute campaigns across a group of 100 premium mobile
sites via a single Nokia dashboard. The advertising alliance will focus on adding newer formats to the mobile marketing mix.
Certified members of the Nokia alliance include i-movo, Mobile Acuity,
Mobiqa, and uLocate, with other mobile technology providers being tested for inclusion.
