Rob Norman, global CEO of Group M Interaction, and Greg Stuart, former CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau, have joined the advisory board of AdGent 007, a new online ad firm designed to
monetize online publishers' untapped international traffic by providing advertisers with completely transparent and locally targeted global placements.
They join Eric Ludwig, interim
CFO of mobile game publisher Glu, and Taek Kwon, operating partner of private equity firm TPG, who are already on the board.
Based in San Francisco, AdGent 007--founded by former Cendant exec
Cameron Yuill--has actual salespeople on the ground in Europe, Asia and Australia, as well as the U.S. In effect, they function as an extension of the online publisher's own sales force--to maximize
publishers' CPMs by geo-targeting their growing numbers of international visitors.
The company is backed by $5.3 million in venture funding from CM Capital, One Ventures and others.
